As we have now gone into the next phase of the corona crisis we feel it is important to reach out to all of our partners and stakeholders to discuss what we can all do to further mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
As we have now gone into the next phase of the corona crisis we feel it is important to reach out to all of our partners and stakeholders to discuss what we can all do to further mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Many of our customers and partners are or have already implemented their own protocols and guidelines to limit the spread of the virus, however it is much appreciated if you could share with us your steps taken and next steps as well as the measures of your customers, so that we can inform our staff about it as soon as possible.
So far at Van Bentum we have already implemented the following guidelines to our own staff as well as our subcontractors:
- Washing hands regularly
- Maintain social distancing
- Sneezing or coughing in the elbow
- Avoid touching of the eyes, nose and mouth
- Do not shake hands
- Avoiding places with high risk of infection
- Reminding each other of the importance of hygiene
- If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early
Next to that we have decided to cancel all external meetings until further notice or move to telephone- or video conferencing. We have also changed the layout of our offices so that people can keep the appropriate distance. Offices can only be entered through the main entrance and disinfecting of hands is mandatory.
It is extremely important that our staff can follow the above protocols and for this we also need your help. Generally we see that sanitary facilities are currently being limited, making it impossible for our staff to wash their hands properly. We even see cases where drivers are not allowed to use toilets at all, forcing them to do their needs in places not intended for this and this of course increases the hygienic risks for themselves as well as others. Our people also need to be able to keep their distance between themselves and others at all times, so we do urge everybody to make sure that this is possible as well.
At Van Bentum we always strive to organize our services at the highest levels possible, whilst at the same time making sure our people can work safe and are able to commit to the current protocols. We have to do this together!
